The incidents took place on Tuesday
At least six people were killed and several others injured, in road accidents in Gazipur, Satkhira, and Rajshahi on Tuesday.
In Gazipur, two people including a child were killed when two trucks rammed a pickup van in the early hours in Porabari of Gazipur municipality.
The deceased were identified as Alam, 7, and pickup van driver Naim Uddin, 25.
The injured were Kajal Mia, 50, Jobeda, 40, Shapla, 10, and Nur Alam, 27, who were passengers on the pickup van, and were members of the same family.
According to police and fire service officials, Kajal Mia and his family members boarded a pickup truck to travel to Sreepur from Tongi. The accident took place on the Dhaka-Mymensingh Highway.
The pickup driver died on the spot, and the child was declared dead on arrival by the on-duty physician at Shaheed Tajuddin Ahmad Medical College Hospital.
The injured were referred to Dhaka Medical College Hospital for better treatment.
In Satkhira, two motorcyclists were killed after colliding head-on with an oncoming ambulance in the Troshi-mile area of Tala upazila in the afternoon.
The deceased, Kamrul Hasan, 35, and Nannu, 34, were initially taken to Satkhira Sadar Hospital and later transferred to the local China Bangla Hospital, where they were declared dead.
The bodies were sent to Satkhira Sadar Hospital morgue for autopsy.
In Rajshahi, two people were killed when a truck collided head-on with a motorbike in the Chhoto Senbagh area in Puthia upazila in the afternoon.
One of the deceased has been identified as Sohel Rana, 30.
Zahidul Islam, sub-inspector of Paba highway police camp, said a sand-laden truck collided head-on with a motorbike around 4:30pm, killing two people on the spot and injuring one person.
The injured person was sent to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital in a critical state, he added.
Police seized the truck, but its driver and helper managed to flee from the scene.
