They protested on the Narail-Jessore highway, and rallied at DC office
Students protested the assault of a teacher of Narail Government High School by a guardian.
They protested on the Narail-Jessore Highway, and rallied at DC office, on Sunday.
Science teacher Prodesh Kumar Mollik had beaten a female student, who took private coaching at his house.
Later, when the student complained to her father, Moinullah Dullu about the incident, he forcibly dragged the teacher out of his house and beat him up.
Then, the guardian made a complaint against the teacher to the headmaster of the school.
When the matter came to the attention of locals, some students protested against the teacher.
Then other angry students, protested the assault of the teacher.
The students demanded that the guardian should apologize to the teacher for beating him up.
“The incident has gone out of our control,” the headmaster of the school, Mohitosh Kumar Dey said.
“The student rally is completely unnecessary since the matter has been resolved several times over. I wish to see a conclusion to the matter soon,” he said.
“After coming to an understanding at the DC office, I along with some teachers told the protesting students to return back to school,” Prodesh said.
“The incident has been resolved,” Moinullah said.
