Eid-ul-Fitr is being celebrated across Bangladesh on Wednesday
Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) and India’s Border Security Force (BSF) have exchanged greetings, flowers, and sweets on the holy occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr.
BGB Joypurhat 20 Battalion Commander Lieutenant Colonel Rashed Md Anisul Haque and BSF’s Patiram 199 Battalion Commander BS Negi represented their respective forces and countries at the exchange, which took place at the border on Wednesday.
A number of other officers were also present at the event.
Rashed Md Anisul Haque told Dhaka Tribune: “We exchange sweets, flowers, and greetings with BSF members on the occasion of Eid. We have a good relationship will be maintained between the two forces and both the sides will be able to work together at the border.
“We exchange sweets and greetings during national and religious celebrations.”
Eid-ul-Fitr is being celebrated across Bangladesh in a festive manner.
