7 killed in road accidents in 5 districts

In Madaripur, a truck driver died in a road accident at Samaddar of Sadar upazila on Saturday morning.

Seven people were killed in road accidents in five districts across the country.

In Faridpur, two people were killed—and two others injured—when a bus collided with a truck, at Purbogangabordi on the Dhaka-Khulna highway, on Saturday morning.

One of the deceased was a bus driver, Islam, hailing from Magura district; and the other is still unidentified. 

In Feni, a motorcyclist was critically injured in an accident on Friday evening. He died on Saturday morning while undergoing treatment at the hospital.

The deceased was identified as Neyamul Karim Riad, 28, of Durgapur village of Chhagalnaiya upazila.

In Madaripur, a truck driver died in a road accident at Samaddar of Sadar upazila on Saturday morning.

The deceased, Nazrul Islam, 25, was a resident of South Digholdi, Bhola, confirmed Bhanga Highway police station OC Sheikh Mahfuza Rahman.

In Munshiganj, a bus helper was killed—and 15 injured, including two children—when a bus collided with another at Gajaria upazila on the Dhaka-Chittagong Highway on Saturday evening.

Bhoberchar Highway police outpost in-charge Md Kabir Hossain confirmed the matter.

In Gazipur, two brothers were killed in a motorcycle accident in Kapasia upazila on Saturday.

The deceased were Sobhan Alam, 45, and Khorshed Alam, 30, of Fulbaria village of Durgapur upazila, confirmed Kapasia police OC Rafiqul Islam.
