The seasonal storm hit three villages in Kayempur union of Kasba, and damaged about 40 houses

A nor‘wester storm injured five people in Kasba upazila of Brahmanbaria.

Around 9am on Saturday, the seasonal storm hit three villages in Kayempur union of Kasba, and damaged about 40 houses, trees and crops.

The five injured were given primary treatment.

Upazila Project Implementation Officer, Tapash Chakraborty said: “We visited the 40 houses damaged in the storm, and made a list of the injured.”

The storm also uprooted a tree at Kasba-Kolla road at Kamalpur village of Kasba. As a result, transportation came to a standstill for about three hours.

Later, with the help of Fire Service and upazila officials, the uprooted tree was removed from the road.
