Albeit the Supreme Court issued a stand release order against Lalmonirhat District and Sessions Judge KM Mostakinur Rahman on May 9, the top court has suspended him over an allegation.
High Court Division issued the order on May 21.
After Eid-ul-Fitr, an investigation team will be visit Lalmonirhat to investigate the allegations against him, confirmed Lalmonirhat Deputy Commissioner Shafiul Arif.
Earlier on May 9, the Law and Justice Division of Ministry of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs issued a stand release order against him.
According to the notification issued by Law and Justice Division, the accused officer is entitled to allowance during the temporary suspension.
Earlier, two women – teachers of Kakina Uttor Bangla College – filed a complaint with the apex court against the judge.
