Maritime ports advised to hoist signal 3

Storms are also likely to affect the North Bay and adjoining coastal areas

The maritime ports of Chittagong, Cox's Bazar, Mongla, and Payra have been advised to hoist local cautionary signal number three. 

According to a Met office bulletin, under the influence of frequent thunderstorm activity, squally weather is likely to affect the maritime ports, North Bay, and adjoining coastal areas of Bangladesh, reports UNB . 

Fishing boats and trawlers over the North Bay have been advised to proceed with caution until further notice.

Rain or thundershowers—accompanied by temporary gusty or squally wind—are likely to occur at many places in the Dhaka, Mymensingh, Chittagong, and Sylhet divisions. They are also due to occur in a few places in the Rangpur, Rajshahi, Khulna, Barisal divisions — with moderately-heavy to heavy rainfall in parts of the Chittagong and Sylhet divisions.
