The fire, which broke out at a factory of Chittagong Export Processing Zone (CEPZ), has been brought under control.
Firefighters brought the fire under control at 10pm on Thursday.
Jashim Uddin, deputy assistant director of Chittagong Fire Service, said: "The fire originated around 7:30pm on the fourth floor of a carton factory housed at a five-storey building at the CEPZ.
On information, a total of 14 firefighting vehicles from four units rushed to spot.
The extent of damage by the fire is yet to be ascertained.
