The Bangladesh Meteorological Department (Met office) on Thursday predicted rain and thundershowers with gusty or squally wind in various parts of the country till 9am on Friday.
“Rain, thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty/squally wind is likely to occur at many places over Rangpur, Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions; at a few places over Rajshahi and Dhaka divisions and at one or two places over Khulna, Barisal and Chittagong divisions,” said a Met office press release.
It added that both day and night temperatures may rise slightly across the country.
The highest temperature on Wednesday was recorded at 36.0 degrees Celsius in Patuakhali under Barisal division and Khulna, and Thursday’s minimum temperature of 21.0 degrees Celsius was recorded in Dimla under Rangpur division.
The sun is expected to set at 6:34pm on Thursday, and rise at 5:15am on Friday in Dhaka.
