A worker at a shipbreaking yard has died in a fire that broke out while dismantling a ship in Chittagong.
Five others also sustained injuries in the incident which took place in Sitakunda upazila on Wednesday.
The deceased, Mohamamd Rubel, was a cutting worker of Premier Trade Corporation and Mahinur Ship Recycling Yard, reports UNB.
Zahirul Islam, in-charge of Chittagong Medical College Hospital (CMCH) police camp, said: "Six workers sustained burn injuries when the fire broke out at the pump room of a scrap ship around 8:30am.
"They were taken to CMCH where the doctors pronounced Rubel dead."
