Police arrested the 45-year-old man in a case filed over raping six school children of Khorki Government Primary School in Jessore.

"Police arrested Aminur from the Gatipara area of Benapole border around 2pm on Saturday when he was trying to escape to India," said Jessore Kotwali police station OC Apurbo Hasan.

"After a primary interrogation he [Aminur] confessed to his crimes. He will be produced before a court on Sunday," the OC added.

One of the survivor’s sister filed a case in Kotwali police station in connection with raping six students in separate incidents.

According to the parents who complained, Aminur, a land broker, raped the students of second, third, and fourth grade.

The accusers said Aminur, a land broker, had been luring the children with chocolate and fruit—to lower their guard—and then sexually abused them.

On Thursday a court recorded the testimonies of six students and four of them were sent to Jessore General Hospital for medical tests.
