A case was filed in Narayanganj on Friday, over the rape of a 10-year-old schoolgirl.

Araihazar police station OC Akhter Hossain said: “The girl's father filed a case on Friday; we are trying to arrest Alauddin, the rape suspect."
According to the case statement, on Friday evening, the girl went to buy eggs from a local store. As she was late, her mother went to the store to look for her, and heard her screaming. Her mother along with locals rescued the girl, and took her to a local hospital, meanwhile, Alauddin managed to escape. The girl was later shifted to Narayanganj General Hospital.
Locals held a protest demonstration demanding swift arrest and exemplary punishment of the accused.
Ninth-grader raped for 10 days in Bandarban
Police arrested a man in a case filed for abducting and raping a ninth-grader in Rowangchhari upazila.
The accused U Shwe Sing Marma, 25, was arrested on Friday from Bandarban bus station.
Rowangchhari police station OC Shariful Islam said: “A case was filed by the girl’s father on Friday.”
According to the case statement, the accused abducted the schoolgirl on April 23, and reportedly raped her for the next 10 days, in various hotels in Bandarban Sadar.”
