Education Minister Dipu Moni on Friday said that collaboration of all stakeholders was necessary to achieve Bangladesh's 2041 goals, for which the government was ready to cooperate with the private sector.
She said this while inaugurating the first International Conference on Advances in Science, Engineering and Robotics Technology in Dhaka, reports UNB.
East West University (EWU) Computer Science and Engineering Department and Japan-Bangladesh Technology jointly organized the conference at the university premises.
Claiming that the world was moving at a "very harsh pace, especially in the areas of science and technology", the education minister said Bangladesh was trying to keep up with that pace as well.
She said that both men and women had to participate in advancing the country's science and technology sector.
"It is mandatory to ensure that students learn the skills needed in this sector," she noted.
Dipu Moni further added that her ministry was scrutinizing the country's school curriculum, adding: "We want to prepare our children for the future from school level."
She also lauded the hosts for arranging the event and EWU for its remarkable achievement in educational activities.
