A BGMEA team, headed by Rubana, visited the Jurain graveyard to pay their tributes
Newly-elected President of Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA), Rubana Haq, has paid her tributes to the Rana Plaza collapse victims.
A team of BGMEA, headed by Rubana, placed wreaths on the graves of the victims at the Jurain graveyard in Dhaka, on the sixth anniversary of the Rana Plaza collapse, in the early hours of Wednesday.
They also offered prayers for the souls of the deceased.
On April 24, 2013, around 1,138 people lost their lives—and over 1,169 injured—when the nine-story Rana Plaza building, which housed several factories, came crashing down.
Although two cases have been filed over the incident, their trials are yet to begin.
