The cause of the fire is not yet clear
A fire that broke out at a kitchen market in Dhaka's Malibagh area, early on Thursday, has been completely doused after around three-and-a-half hours of firefighting.
Mahfuz Riven, duty officer at the Fire Service and Civil Defence central control room, said the fire originated at a shop of Malibagh Kitchen Market around 5:27am.
Acting on information, 12 firefighting units responded to the scene and brought the blaze under control around 6:35am, reports UNB quoting Mahfuz.
Meanwhile, Lima Khanam, a duty officer of the fire service central control room, said the fire was fully doused around 9am.
The cause of the fire is not yet clear, Mahfuz said, adding that no casualties were reported.
