2 killed in in Chuadanga brick klin

The incident has injured another individual

Two workers have been killed as a chunk of mud fell on them while they were working in a brick klin in Damurhuda upazila of Chuadanga. 

The deceased are Abdul Hannan, son of late Kala Chand Mandal of Keshabpur village; and Babu Miya, son of Lal Mohammod of Bastopur village of the upazila.

The incident--which took place in Joyrampur Sheikh Bricks brick kiln  on Tuesday morning—left another worker injured. 

Sukumar Biswas, officer-in-charge of Damurhuda model police station, has confirmed the incident. 

While describing the incident, Shofikul Islam—who is currently receiving treatment for his injuries—said: "Like every other day, Hannan and Babu were working at brick kiln; when, a large portion of mud fell on them. 

“They were rescued  taken to Chuadanga Sadar Hospital, where the doctors declared them dead." 

"The bodies have been kept at the morgue The bodies will be handed over to their families once the autopsy is done," Dr Shamim Kobir, residential medical officer of Chuadanga Sadar Hospital, said.
