The Officer-in-Charge of Sonagazi police station in Feni, Moazzem Hossain, has been withdrawn from a case lodged over a Sonagazi Madrasa student being set on fire.
He was transferred to the Armed Police Battalion (APBn) on Wednesday, Feni Police Superintendent, Jahangir Alam Sarker, told Dhaka Tribune.
The case has been handed over to the Bangladesh Police Bureau of Investigation (PBI).

The victim's brother filed the case with the Sonagazi police station on Monday, accusing several people, including the four burqa-clad girls who —according to what the victim told her brother on the way to Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) on Sunday—set her on fire on the madrasa's rooftop.
Until Wednesday, police have arrested six people for their suspected involvement in the attack. The victim's family said she was attacked by supporters of Sirajuddaula, the madrasa principal, in retaliation for lodging a sexual harassment case with Sonagazi police station against him, on March 27.
With 85% burn injuries, the girl is battling for her life under the supervision of an eight-member board of the DMCH burn unit, after being placed on life support on Monday.
