Six Juba Dal men named in Jubo League leader murder

Nannu Mian, the father-in-law of the victim, filed the case in the afternoon

A case was filed against six Juba Dal men in Feni on Tuesday, over the murder of Sonagazi upazila unit Jubo League leader, Imam Uddin on Monday.

Nannu Mian, the father-in-law of the victim, filed the case in the afternoon, confirmed Moazzem Hossain, officer-in-charge of Sonagazi Model police station. 

According to sources, Jubo League leader Imam Uddin, 40, of Uttarchar Chandiya village in Shonagazi upazila, died at 10 am on Monday in Chittagong Medical College Hospital. He was injured in an attack on April 1 and admitted to CMCH.

Awami League upazila General Secretary, Advocate Rafiqul Islam Khokon, said Jubo Dal Leader, Khurshid Alam, led the attack on Imam Uddin and his business enterprise with 12 armed men.

OC Moazzem Hossain said, Imam's death at the hospital was unofficially reported to the police by the family.

Jubo League Leader Foyez Alam, who was  also injured in the incident, filed a case against Khurshid Alam and his accomplices, Abchar, Nur Nabi, Jashim Uddin, and Nayon, the OC added.
