Fire service is trying to rescue the missing 2

Three fishermen, out of the five that went missing after the nor’wester hit river Padma, Manikganj on Sunday evening were found dead on Tuesday morning.

The other two are still missing.

Fire service rescued the bodies that were floating on the river.

The deceased were identified as Iyad Ali, 48, Chan Mia, 45; both from the Dhturamari village of the Shiabalai upazila and Ismail Hossain, 48, of the Ataikula village of Pabna.

The body of the deceased were handed over to the police.

Rescuers were searching for the other two- Nasir Khan, 42, Kalim Khan, 49, of the Ataikula village of the Santhia upazila of Pabna - till filing of this report at 5:15pm

Confirming the news to the Dhaka Tribune, Mizanur Rahman, deputy assistant director of the Manikganj Fire Service and Civil Defence, Aminur Rahman, officer-in-charge (OC) of Harirampur police station and Mizanur Rahman, Shibalaya police station OC said locals spotted the bodies floating in the river and Fire Service rescuers later recovered the bodies.

"Diver teams of the fire service have been trying to rescue the missing, in the Padma river in Harirampur," Mizanur Rahman said.
