Siblings sent to jail for harassment

The two had been issued several warnings for their harassment and were caught red-handed by locals on the day

Two siblings, who were caught red-handed while harassing female students at Moon Memorial Secondary School in the Palashgarh area of Jamalpur, were sent to jail and a juvenile centre, respectively, on Saturday.

The School’s headmaster Md Sarwar Hossain said Md Sohel Rana,18, and Md Jewel Rana,17, used to harass female students.

The two had been issued several warnings for their harassment and were caught red-handed by locals on the day, the headmaster added.

Later, they were handed over to a mobile court led by UNO Farida Yasmin.

The court sentenced Sohel to six months in jail, while Jewel was sent to Gazipur Juvenile Centre.
