The Chittagong, Cox's Bazar, Mongla, and Payra maritime ports of have been advised to hoist local cautionary signal number three; due to frequent thunderstorms and squally weather.
Frequent thunderstorms and squally weather are likely to affect these maritime ports, North Bay and adjoining coastal areas of Bangladesh, said a Met office bulletin.
All fishing boats and trawlers in the North Bay have been advised to proceed with caution until further notice.
Rain, as well as thunder showers, accompanied by temporary gusty/squally wind is likely to occur at one or two places in the Chittagong and Sylhet division.
