The airport resumed regular services around 10:50 pm on Sunday night
A total of 134 passengers on the Bangladesh Biman flight which made an emergency landing at Chittagong Shah Amanat International Airport (CSAIA), following an attempted hijacking, left the port city by another flight for Dubai on Monday.
Wing Commander Sarwar E-Zaman, Manager of CSAIA said that another aircraft of Biman Bangladesh Airlines left the airport with the passengers around 1:20 pm on Monday.
The airport resumed regular services around 10:50 pm on Sunday night. The airport is running smoothly and security has been beefed up following the incident, Wing Commander Sarwar, said.
A five-member probe committee has been formed to investigate the incident. An army commando operation successfully thwarted an attempt to hijack a Dubai-bound Biman Bangladesh Airlines plane from Dhaka, when it made an emergency landing at CSAIA on Sunday night.
