They were taken to hospital following the accident
Popular film actors Ferdous and Purnima have been injured in a motorbike accident in Noakhali.
The accident occurred on a shooting for the film “Gangchil,” in the Char Mandal area on Sunday morning.
Film Director Imtiaz Neamul said the incident happened when Ferdous and Purnima were filming for a scene involving riding a motorbike.
They were taken to hospital following the accident, he said.
According to sources, Ferdous and Purnima were filming an action scene on the set. Ferdous was driving the motorbike, and Purnima was sitting behind him.
All of a sudden the running bike lost control, both actors fell, and were injured.
Ferdous was hurt around the shoulder. Purnima got wounded in her legs which have since swollen. The actors received primary treatment immediately.
Directed by Imtiaz Neamul, the film has been adapted from Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader’s novel of the same name. The story of the film is based on the life of people in the coastal area of Cox's Bazaar.
Officer-in-Charge of Companiganj police station told the Dhaka Tribune: “Shooting has been packed for the day as the main actors have been injured. They have received primary care at Central Private Hospital.”
Duty doctor of Central hospital, Dr Abdul Haque, informed us: “We have run a few tests including X-rays, and we didn’t find any internal injuries.”
“But they need complete rest for a few days,” he added.
