Road accidents kill 7 across the country

The accidents happened on Wednesday and Thursday

At least seven people have died in road accidents across the country on Wednesday and Thursday.

In Kishoreganj, two motorcycle passengers died after their bike, travelling at a high speed, lost control and hit a roadside tractor in the Karimgonj upazila’s Malibari area on Wednesday.

The deceased were identified as Khairul Islam, 27, and Samin Miah, 30, both from the Kishoreganj Sadar upazila.

Karimgonj police station OC Md Mujibur Rahman confirmed the news.

In Sunamganj, two people died and five others were injured when a bailey bridge collapsed due to over weight of a rod-laden truck in the upazila’s Ranabiddya village on Thursday afternoon.

Sunamganj Fire Service Deputy Director Javed Mohammad Tarek confirmed the news.

In Munshiganj, a motorbike rider died when a truck ran him over and fled the scene in the Sreenagar upazila’s Chanbari area on Thursday afternoon.

The deceased was identified as Dipip Rajbangshi, 40, of the South Jatrabari area.

Sreenagar police station OC Yunus Ali confirmed the matter of the accident.

In Gopalganj, a two-year old died when a engine operated rickshaw van ran her over in front of the Tumpipara Fire Service office on Thursday morning.

The deceased Nadia was the daughter of Nazmul Sheikh of the Gimadanga Purbopara village of the uapzila.

Tungipara police stations SI Yeasir confirmed the news of the incident.

In Pirojpur, a college student died on Thursday morning, after his motorcycle lost control and hit a tree in the Joikul village of the Kawkhali upazila.

The deceased was Abdul Al Sunny, 17, a student of Shaheed Abdur Rab Serniabat Textile Engineering College, Barisal.

Kawkhali police station OC Md Kamruzzaman Takulder confirmed the matter.
