BSF detained the man, Sirajul Islam, 36, in the early hours of Friday

The Indian Border Security Force (BSF) has detained a Bangladeshi national over allegations of illegally trespassing into the country’s soil along the Nitpur border area in Naogaon. 

BSF detained the man, Sirajul Islam, 36, in the early hours of Friday. He hails from Kata Pukur village under Porsha upazila.

Confirming the matter to the Dhaka Tribune, Nayek Subedar Humayun Kabir of Border Guard Bangladesh’s (BGB) Nitpur camp said: “BSF detained Sirajul while he tried to illegally enter India on Friday morning.

“The BGB has already sent a letter to BSF, requesting a flag meeting for the return of Sirajul Islam.”
