College teacher’s body found in Naogaon river

The deceased was missing for the last 5 days

Police have recovered the body of a college teacher from a river in Noagaon, five days after he went missing.

The body, with the hands and legs bound with ropes, was recovered from Ghukshi River at Bara Chawkgopal in Dhamrai upazila on Thursday, reports UNB.

The deceased was identified as MM Jamal Uddin, 48, a teacher of Jagadal Adibashi School and College.He was from Sahapur village of the upazila.

Locals found the body floating in the river around 11am and informed the police.

Dhamrai police station Officer-in-Charge Zakirul Islam confirmed the news 

He said: “The body did not have any marks of wounds, but the hands and legs were tied with ropes.”

“The body was sent to Sadar Hospital morgue for autopsy,” the officer said.
