Police have arrested the two main accused in the case of gang-rape of four women in Rampur in Feni.

Confirming the matter to Dhaka Tribune, investigation officer of the case, Feni police outpost Sub-Inspector Md Shahjahan said: “Police arrested the main accused Kawsar Bin Qassem in the rape case of four women on Saturday and Md Choton on Thursday. So far, four out of five accused have been arrested.”
After the case was filed, the police arrested Md Omayer, 19, and Ariful Islam Prakash Arman, 33, from Rampur. They have been remanded for three days each, he said.
Quoting the victims and the case statement, police said after the four women were brought to a house in Rampur, Kawsar and his accomplices forcefully drugged and raped them. The four women were confined and subjected to rape and torture for around six months. Police also said Kawsar sometimes brought unknown people to the house and they also raped the four.
If the women refused, they were tortured with burning cigarettes, electric shock, and repeated death threats.
A case was filed in this regard against the five men on Wednesday.
