Yet to be identified murderers strangled a 3rd grader to death in Jhenaidah.
The victim, Billal Hossain, 9, was recovered from a banana grove in the sadar upazila’s Muraidaha village on Friday morning.
Billal was the son of Shahidul Sheikh of the village and a student of Muraidaha Govt School.
Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) (Sadar Circle), Kanak Kumar Das, confirmed the news.
“Billal was missing since Thursday evening and was found by locals on Friday morning. Police took his body with them to the morgue for an autopsy. The victim had signs of injury around his throat,” ASP Kanak said.
The ASP also said: “Primarily we think it was death by strangulation. We will be able to announce the motive behind his murder, once the investigation is done.”
