Two children have drowned in Kaptai Lake of Rangamati district.
The incident occurred around 11:30am in Langadu upazila on Saturday.
The deceased are Md Sayeem, 3, son of Abdul Jabbar of FIDC Tila village and Md Minhaz, 3, son of Saidul Islam of the same village.
Locals said they drowned while playing around while taking a bath in the lake.
Later, their guardians rescued them and took them to Langadu Upazila Health Complex, where duty doctor Tanmoy Barua declared them dead.
Langadu police station Officer-in-Charge Ranjan Kumar Samanta confirmed the matter to the Dhaka Tribune.
