Murder suspect killed Jessore ‘gunfight’

Police recovered a firearm and a bullet from the scene

A miscreant named Bilhu Parvez, 28, was killed in a "gunfight" in Shankarpur, Bablatola area of Jessore, on Thursday.

Police recovered one firearm and a bullet from the scene.

Police said that there are six cases against Parvez, including one for the murder of BNP leader Mashiya.

Police claimed that he was killed during a gunfight between two groups of miscreants. 

Jessore Kotwali police station Officer-in-Charge Apurba Hasan confirmed the incident occurred.

Meanwhile on Friday the deceased's uncle, Mukul Hossain, claimed that DB police had detained Pervez from his house in Sonadanga, Khulna, on Wednesday night. 

Police denied these allegations. 

Jessore Kotwali police station said a case will soon be filed for this incident.
