Six people have been killed, and 16 others injured, in separate road accidents in the Noakhali, Savar and Lalmonirhat districts.

In Noakhali, a woman and her son were killed, and three others injured, in a collision between a pickup and CNG-run autorickshaw in Senbaghupazila.
The deceased are Firoza Begum, 60, wife of Iman Ali, and their son Mohan Khan, 35.
The three injured, including Mohan’s seven-year-old son Miran, were sent to Noakhali General Hospital.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Senbagh police station Moin Uddin confirmed the matter to the Dhaka Tribune.
Additionally, in Savar, three people were killed, and five others injured, when a truck hit a pickup van on the Dhaka-Aricha highway in Balayapur area.
The deceased are Engineer of Mir Akter Group, Md Jahirul Islam, 40; Surveyor of Dhaka WasaNurnabi, 38; and driver Khalil, 35.
The bodies were taken to a local police station at SavarUpazila Health Complex.
The injured were sent to Shaheed Suhrawardy Medical College and Hospital in Dhaka.
Saver model police station (OC) Sajjadur Rahman told the Dhaka Tribune: “The bodies have been sent to Shaheed Suhrawardy Medical College and Hospital for autopsies.”
“A case will be filed in this regard,” he said.
In Lalmonirhat, a garment worker, Alamgir Hossain, 18, was killed and seven injured in a clash between a truck and an easy bike in Aditmariupazila.
Aditmari police arrested the son of Afzal Islam of Rajshahi, Binodpur area, Fahim Hossain, 20, truck driver. The truck assistant escaped the scene.
The deceased Alamgir Hossain, was the second son of Safikul Islam of Kaliganjupazila.
The injured are Jewel Hossain, 18, son of Asadul Islam, Mukti Rani Roy, 32, wife of Nitai Chandra Roy of Kaliganjupazila, Atul Chandra Roy, 28, son of Puya Chandra Roy, Ganesh of Aditmariupazila. Chandra Roy's wife Pranneshwari Rani Roy (40), Arifina Begum, 28, wife of Alam Mia, Mahendra Nath Roy, 28, son of Santosh Kumar Roy and Abdul Khalek, 35, son of Rahmat Ali.
Medical Officer of LalmonirhatSadar Hospital, Dr Monjur Morshed Dolon told the Dhaka Tribune: “Alamgir Hossain died on the way to the hospital.
Four injured have been admitted to the hospital and three seriously injured have been sent to Rangpur Medical College and Hospital for better treatment.”
Lalmonirhat police station OC, Masud Rana said: “The easy bike driver along with the truck driver has been arrested. The body of alamgir has been handed over to his family.”
