He died at the Barisal Sher-e-Bangla Medical College Hospital on Monday night
A convicted prisoner has died at the Barisal Sher-e-Bangla Medical College Hospital (SBMCH).
Samiron Mridha, 52, an inmate of Barisal Central Jail, died on Monday night, Senior Jail Superintendent Md Sagir Mia said.
“Samiron had been in jail for murder since August 15, 2014. On August 19, he was admitted to the hospital as he was suffering from tuberculosis,” he said.
The hospital’s Ward Master Abul Kalam told the Dhaka Tribune that Samiron’s body has been sent to the morgue for an autopsy.
