He placed floral wreaths at the mural around 8:30am on Wednesday

National Mourning Day is being observed in Jessore with due fervor and enthusiasm. People from all social strata are paying their homage at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman’s mural in Bakultala area. 

Marking the historic day, Jessore 3 constituency MP Kazi Nabil Ahmed placed floral wreaths at Bangabandhu’s mural around 8:30am on Wednesday.

District Awami League President Shahidul Islam Milon and several members including Faruk Ahmed, Kazi Abdus Sabur, and Sukhen Majumder also paid their respects—along with leaders and activists from Chhatra League, Jubo League, and Sramik League.

Jessore Deputy Commissioner Abdul Awal, district police, and representatives from different educational institutions were also in attendance..

Various discussions, events, and feasts for the needy have been organized in Jessore to mark August 15.
