RAB claims the men were arrested from a secret meeting of the extremist outfit
Three suspected members of banned militant outfit Jam’atul Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB) have been arrested in Chapainawabganj.
A RAB 5 team arrested them from Nachol Upazila’s Ghion village around Saturday midnight. The three were also in possession of Jihadi books.
The arrestees are Nazrul, 50, Abu Bakkar, 38, and Selim Reja, 27. All of them are residents of the district’s Shibganj Upazila.
RAB 5 deputy commander Abul Khayer said they raided the village after being tipped off about a secret meeting of extremists.
“The three men were arrested from there. About 10 others fled from the scene,” he added.
