The accidents occurred in Tangail and Rangpur on Sunday morning
Five people were killed and two others injured in road accidents, in two districts, Sunday morning.
In Tangail, businessman Idris Ali, 55, was killed in a head-on collision between a motorcycle and a truck.
The incident occurred in the Mahanandanpur Bazar area of Sakhipur upazila.
Local sources say Idris was travelling to Sakhipur, on his motorbike, when a sand- laden truck collided with him head-on—killing him instantly.
In Rangpur, a bus rammed into an autorickshaw on the Rangpur-Dinajpur highway, killing four people and injuring two others.
The incident took place near the Hajirhat area of the city around 7am.
Taraganj highway police outpost Sub-Inspector Nowshad said a Thakurgaon-bound bus hit the autorickshaw—killing two on the spot and injuring four.
The four injured were taken to Rangpur Medical College Hospital, where two of them died.
The identities of the deceased are Saju and Chand.
