With the help of local snake charmers, a farmer named Abdul Goni dug under his bed and found the cobras on Saturday.

The snake charmers also found egg shells under Abdul’s bed.

Talking to the Dhaka Tribune, the farmer said: “I found a large egg shell under my bed around 9am on Saturday. Later, I immediately informed the local snake charmers.

“Two snake charmers arrived at my home from Baro Mile area and started digging the floor of my bedroom. They found 19 baby king cobras and shells from 19 snake eggs.”

Responding to a query, snake charmer Rabiul Islam told the Dhaka Tribune: “Padma Gokhra snakes [King Cobras] usually lay eggs underground or under the floor of homes. We rescued all the baby snakes we could that we found there.”

He also added that the snake charmers are still searching for more eggs and the mother snake, but assured that no more snakes were found after thoroughly searching Abdul’s home.
