The identities of three of the victims not known yet
Six people have been killed in separate accidents in Noakhali and Tangail.
Three of them died in a head-on collision between a bus and an autorickshaw in Noakhali’s Sonaimuri Upazila around 11am on Sunday.
Police identified the victims as Mizanur Rahman Mizan, 42, Motiur Rahman, 35, and Md Rakib, 22.
Another man, 28-year-old Abul, injured in the accident, is being treated at a local hospital, Sonaimuri police station Officer-in-Charge, Nasim Uddin, told the Dhaka Tribune
In Tangail, three young men, apparently between 16 and 20 years of age, were killed when the motorcycle they were riding was hit by a passenger bus.
The exact names and identities of the victims is not known right now.
Police say the accident took place on the Tangail-Bangabandhu Bridge Highway’s Solla area in Kalihati Upazila around 2:15pm.
“A northern region-bound bus rammed into the motorcycle head-on, killing the three youths on the spot,” said Bangabandhu East police station’s Sub-Inspector, Nur-e-Alam.
He said they apprehended the bus but the driver fled the scene following the accident.
