16 held in 2 districts for cheating in teacher recruitment test

Police arrested 16 examinees from different centres in Kurigram and Nilphamari for adopting unfair means in the primary teacher recruitment test held on Friday.


In Kurigram, police arrested eight examinees from five centres in Sadar and Ulipur upazilas.


The arrestees were identified as Habiba Sultana, Warinnahar, Mousumi Begum, Abdur Rahim Rasel, Al Faruk and Shibli Noman, Fatema Begum, and Shahnaj Khatun.


Sultana Parvin, deputy commissioner of the district, said the eight examinees were arrested for using electronic devices to cheat during the test.


In Nilphamari, police arrested eight other examinees from different centres of Syedpur upazila for adopting unfair means.


The arrestees are ArifaNaznin, Lovely Akhter, Poly Roy, TahiraParvin, Umme Habiba, Mizan Ahmed, Arafat Siddique, and Alamgir Hossain.


Upazila Executive Officer Bazlur Rashid said the arrestees used electronic devices during the exam.
