The voting began around 8am on Wednesday
Voters are exercising their franchise at three centres under Khulna City Corporation, where voting was postponed for various irregularities.
The voting began around 8am on Wednesday and will run until 4pm, at Iqbal Nagar Secondary School under Ward 24, Labanchara Government Primary School under Ward 31, and Ward 31 Councillor Office.
The voters at these polling centres will decide the fates of a councillor and two female councillors.
The Election Commission has taken strict security measures to hold the voting in a free, fair, and peaceful manner.
It has assigned new presiding officers and assistant presiding officers for the three polling centres.

Earlier Returning Officer Md Yunus Ali said four mobile teams of Rapid Action Battalion, one platoon of Border Guard Bangladesh, three magistrates, 22 policemen, 17 Ansar members, and a separate mobile team of police will be deployed at each centre.
On May 15, voting in these three centres was postponed following reported snatching of ballot papers and forced stuffing of ballot boxes.
However, after daylong voting, Awami League candidate Talukder Abdul Khaleque was elected the new mayor of Khulna city on May 15.
