At least 207 people were arrested during anti-narcotics drives across the country on Saturday.
In Rajshahi, police arrested 59 people from different areas of the district.
Among the arrestees, 19 were accused in several cases, 19 were held for drug dealing while 21 on other charges.
In Bagerhat, 43 people were arrested. 13 among them were held for selling drugs and found with 75 yaba pills and 200g of hemp.
In Jhalokati, police detained two with hemp from Beribad area and another with 11 yaba pills from Kistakati Friday night.
The detainees were identified as Md Zahid Mridha, Md Khalilur Rahman and Hakim Rahman.
In Sherpur, 23 people including several drug traders were arrested. Later, a local court sent them to jail, said ASP Aminul Islam.
In Noakhali, 11 people were arrested for their alleged involvement in dealing drugs.
Some 132 yaba pills, 300g hemp and 10 bottles of liquor were also recovered from their possession, said ASP Zahirul Islam.
Ten drug traders were sentenced to prison in Cumilla the same day.
A team of Kotwali police in a drive arrested Pakhi Begum, Liton Miah, Selim, Asma Begum, Aradhan Begum, and Sayed from Cumilla cityearly in the morning. They were sentenced to jail by a mobile court.
Four others – Dulal Hossain, Omar Faruk, Mahamudul Hasan, and Foyez – were sentenced to different jail terms by another mobile court in Chandina upazila.
Police also arrested a woman, Ruby Akhter, from Muradnagar for selling drugs.
In Barishal, 67 people were arrested on narcotics charges across the district.
