Bangladesh Army chief raises flags of 3 new artillery units
Bangladesh Army Chief of Staff General Abu Belal Muhammad Shafiul Huq has raised the flags of three new units from the Corps of Military Police Centre and School (CMP) in Savar, along with other high level military officials. Out of the three units, the flag of the 43 SHORAD missile regiment artillery under the 6th Individual ADA Artillery Brigade was raised by General Abu Belal, the flag of the 45 MLRS regiment artillery under the 9th Infantry Division was raised by Quarter Master General Lieutenant General Aziz Ahmed, and the flag of the 46 Division Locating Battery Artillery was raised by Savar Area Commander and 9th Infantry Division GOC Major General Akber Hossain. General Abu Belal was welcomed to the venue by Major General Akber, followed by a parade led by Parade Commander Major TM Abid Shahriar. Addressing all present, General Abu Belal emphazied the necessity for both discipline and skill to be ideal members of the army. He also urged those in attendance to be ever-vigilant in dealing with national and international threats to security. The three newly formed units are part of the Bangladesh Army's vision of attaining the Armed Forces Goal 2030.
