Freedom fighters in Dinajpur and Madaripur protest quota withdrawal
Muktijoddha and Muktijodhdha Santan Command have united to protest the quota system withdrawal from government jobs and organized a rally and human chain in Hili of Dinajpur while Madaripur upazila Muktijoddha Sangsad formed a human chain, demanding a 30% quota for freedom fighters on Wednesday morning. The rally in Hili took place on all the primary roads and ended in the Upazila Council Road. Later, a compiled memorandum of seven demands was sent to the Prime Minister. From 11am to 12pm, a human chain was formed, where speakers expressed discontent over the quota system withdrawal and demanded reinstatement of the system, promising stronger movements in the future otherwise. In Madaripur, a human chain was formed in front of the district administrator's office. At the same time, in Shibchar's 71 chottor, Kalkini, and Rajoir upazila council road, freedom fighters formed human chains. The freedom fighters presented a six-point demand memorandum to the district administrator, demanding that all anti-liberation groups be identified and brought to justice, and their privileges adjourned.
