Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) has arrested a college student in Bogra who they claim is directly involved in the question leak spree that has plagued the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) examinations since February 1.
Rabiul Alam, 19, a student of Government Sheikh Mujibur Rahman College in Tungipara, Gopalganj, was arrested around 9:30am on Sunday from Bogra town’s Jahurulnagar area, RAB 12 Commander Maj SM Morshed Hasan said at a press briefing later in the day.

He said A RAB 12 team, acting on a tip-off, caught Rabiul during a raid when he went to Jahurulnagar to collect some money as payment for supplying a leaked question paper.
Morshed said Rabiul, who hails from Gopalganj’s Kashiani, was a member of a ring that has been leaking question papers of SSC exams. One Sohan Parvez, another student of Government Sheikh Mujibur Rahman College, is the leader of this group.
Both of them have been using a Facebook profile under Sohan’s name to leak and supply the questions and answers via Messenger app ahead of every test, he said. They collected the money from the receivers via bKash.
The RAB official added: “Now we are trying to catch ringleader Sohan and the others of the group based on the information Rabiul has provided so far.”
Bogra Sadar police station’s Duty Officer Sub-Inspector Rozina Khatun said RAB handed Rabiul over to them in the afternoon.
RAB has also filed a case over the matter with Sadar police.
