Police arrested 16 people during various drives at different areas of Dinajpur district.
The law enforcers started the raids from 8pm Sunday, and ended around 8am Monday.
They recovered 109 bottles of phensedyl, 200 pieces of yaba tablets, and 5,000 pieces of cow fattening tablets during the drives.
During the drives, Dinajpur Sadar police arrested four people; Ghoraghat Birganj police arrested three; Nawabganj police arrested two; Khansama police arrested one; Kaharole police arrested two; Biral police arrested two; and Chirirbandar police arrested two.
Several cases, including charges of subversive activities, are pending with different police stations against the arrestees, sources said.
Meanwhile, members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) detained five alleged drug dealers around 5am from Hili railway station in Hakimpur upazila of the district.
BGB confirmed that the detainees were handed over to Hakimpur polic, and later, sent to jail.
