Eight days after going missing, a Bangladeshi sexagenarian was found dead near Bhomra Land Port of Satkhira, along the border with neighboring India, on Saturday afternoon.
The deceased was identified as Kalamullah Bablu, 60, the son of late Rezaul Karim, a resident of Sadar’s Munjitpur area, police sources and Bablu’s family members confirmed.
Bhomra BGB Camp Subedar Safiur Rahman said Bablu’s body was recovered from a canal underneath a bridge near the third main pillar at the border. The deceased was wearing jeans and a black t-shirt.
Additional Police Super Merina Akhter said she has visited the location, while the body was sent to Satkhira Sadar Hospital for autopsy.
