A Rohingya refuge has been trampled to death by a wild elephant in Ukhiya refugee camp in Cox’s Bazar.
Yakub Ali, 45, died early Friday.
Meanwhile, four to five people were also injured during the incident.
Ukhiya police station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Abul Khayer confirmed matter to the Dhaka Tribune.
He said: “The elephant also destroyed 10 to 15 shanties. The injured have been give primary treatment at the hospital.”
The OC said Yakub was buried in the camp.
On October 14, four Rohingyas were killed as wild elephants stampeded through the Rohingya camp in Balukhali.
