Four of a family found dead in Cox’s Bazar
Police on Wednesday found the bodies of a man, his wife and their two daughters in their home in Goledighirpar of Cox’s Bazar Sadar. Cox’s Bazar Sadar police station OC Ranajit Kumar Barua has confirmed the incident. The Deceased were identified as Sumon Chowdhury, 35, his wife Baby Chowdhury, 30, and their daughters Antika Chowdhury, 11, and Joty Chowdhury, 3. Dulal Das, Sumon’s neighbor, said he called the police after getting no response from the house for the entire day. Police broke down the door and found the bodies in the evening.  Suman’s body was found hanging from the ceiling while those of his wife and daughters were lying on the floor. It is suspected that Sumon committed suicide after strangling his wife and children to death, the OC said Cox’s Bazar Police Super AKM Iqbal Hossain said: “The bodies were taken to Chittagong Medical College Hospital for autopsy. Police will investigate and take necessary legal steps after getting the reports.”
