Hundreds of visitors have enjoyed the day-long bullock cart race Dhaka Tribune
In an effort to showcase the depleted heritage to the new generation, the local people of Jhenaidah’s Betai village organized a bullock cart race in the locality on Tuesday.
Some eight bullock carts from Jhenaidah, Jessore, Chuadanga and Magura have participated in the race which began in the morning in front of hundreds of visitors.
The game came to an end in the evening with one Ruhuzzel from Betai village winning the first place. The winner was awarded a 21-inch colour television.
Jhenaidah Superintendent of police Mizanur Rahman attended the program as the chief guest.
