Cold wave may continue for a few more days
A mild to moderate cold wave is sweeping over the country and is likely to continue for a few more days, according to a Met office forecast issued on Thursday. "A mild to moderate cold wave is sweeping over Rangpur, Rajshahi, Khulna, Barisal, Tangail, Faridpur, Madaripur, Gopalganj, Mymensingh, Sreemangal, Comilla, Feni, Sitakunda and Hatiya, and it may continue for a few days," the forecast said. There will be moderate to thick fog in various places of the country from midnight till morning, and it may stay until noon in the northwestern part of the country. The weather may remain dry with temporary cloudy sky, it added. The temperature at night may rise slightly, and during the day it may remain nearly unchanged. The country’s minimum temperature on Thursday was recorded at 6°C in Jessore. The sun will set around 5:30pm on Thursday and will rise around 6:44am on Friday.
