Golam Mostafa Ahmed, MP of Gaibandha-1 constituency, was laid to eternal rest at his family graveyard at Chandipur village under Sundarganj upazila of the district on Tuesday evening.
Earlier, his third namaz-e-janaza was held at the playground of Chandipur High School after Maghrib prayers.
His second janaza was held on premises of Central Eidgah in the district town in the afternoon.
Before that, his body was taken to Gaibandha Shah Abdul Hamid Stadium where the body was kept for a while.
Thousands of people from all walks of life, including political, social and cultural personalities, had joined the janazas and paid their last tributes to the deceased Awami League leader.
